With open arms you are most welcome to the Center for Social Science Research which is the premier research center of Kumasi Technical University. It is my pleasure to give you a comprehensive guide to our esteemed Centre, and the valuable services we offer. The center has expertise who have more than 10 years of experience in conducting research and have in addition mentored more than 1000 students at the undergraduate and post graduate levels. We have for several years consulted for small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Metropolitan and Municipal Assemblies, and individuals. Our client services encompass research and training including proposal conceptualization and writing, research idea formulation, literature review evaluation, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
We have a special interest in grooming the next generation of researchers. The center recently launched the Kumasi Technical University chapter of R-community to offer opportunities to enthusiasts for further training. Our center is not merely an academic institution; it is a dynamic ecosystem dedicated to fostering transformative change, and its heart lies in our commitment to rigorous, evidence-based probe.
To build a community of persons with deep appreciation of data and demystify research, the center recently launched its branch of Ghana R community. To provide students, academic and industry persons with regular skill training in the use of R and other scientific data software. It is anticipated that with time, there will be a large pool of data management skilled persons to undertake rigorous scientific assignments. Our commitment to scientific rigor is paramount. We encourage our researchers and students to rigorously test hypotheses, analyze data with discernment, and critically evaluate the impact of our interventions. We foster an environment where failures are viewed as learning opportunities and where successes are celebrated with humility and a continued drive for improvement.
