Welcome Message From Head of Center - CTTSD

The Centre for Technology Transfer and Skills Development (CTTSD) is a specialized unit within Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry. Our mission is to facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies, foster skills development, and drive entrepreneurship through capacity-building programs, research collaborations, and strategic partnerships.

Capacity-building for MSMEs

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in economic development, and this initiative is designed to strengthen their capacity through business development services. The program offers training in financial management, strategic planning, access to markets, and regulatory compliance. Entrepreneurs receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and guidance on securing funding to scale their businesses. Additionally, the initiative provides specialised support for women-led enterprises and startups to enhance their growth potential.

Digital Transformation Training

The Digital Transformation Training initiative is designed to equip individuals, businesses, and institutions with essential digital skills for Industry 4.0. This program focuses on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital marketing, data analytics, and e-commerce. Training sessions target students, professionals, and entrepreneurs, helping them adapt to the evolving technological landscape. Special attention is given to small business owners, enabling them to leverage digital tools to improve efficiency, market reach, and competitiveness.

Green Innovation & Sustainability

This initiative promotes eco-friendly solutions and circular economy practices to address environmental challenges while fostering economic growth. It supports innovations in waste recycling, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture, with a strong focus on integrating green practices into small businesses and urban microenterprises. By partnering with researchers, policymakers, and the private sector, the program facilitates knowledge transfer and the adoption of sustainable business models.

TVET Enhancement Programs

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Enhancement Programs aim to empower youth and women with practical skills that improve their employability and entrepreneurial potential. These initiatives focus on equipping participants with industry-relevant competencies in areas such as carpentry, fashion design, electrical installation, welding, and catering. By strengthening partnerships with industries, technical institutions, and policymakers, the program ensures that training aligns with labour market demands.
